In conclusion (because I have to finally get back to work), if you ever drop your phone on the tile floor, concrete sidewalk or asphalt driveway (all of which I have done), you will be glad you have the Revo2. The tab covering the headphone jack does not stay completely in (this bugs me but does not affect performance). When I say doesn't fit snugly, I really mean doesn't fit at all. It does fit snugly on the front of the case, when the phone is not in use, so if I'm going to store the iphone in my pants pocket, I use it and I'm stuck with it all day. For this, I should perhaps give it 5 stars. I've thrown the iSkin screen protector away and bought myself an anti-glare screen protector at the Apple store that is both wider and taller than the one provided by iSkin.
I give the Revo2 for iPhone 3G only 2 stars because the product is vastly inferior to original product, designed for the iPhone Classic. Secondly and more critically, the screen protector does not protect the sides of the screen as it barely reaches beyond the edges of the window in the rubber case. Warm water or not, these are suitable for a single use, as it is nearly impossible not to bend the edge enough that it will never again lay completely flat. The tab that protects the USB port (actually the rubber between the USB port and the speakers to each side) prevent me from using some spare cables on which the connector has a wider profile(perhaps designed for the iPod). 5). I think the screen and hence the window is wider than on the original iPhone leaving the sides to be flimsier than on the original Revo. I say this, even though I use it daily and would use no other. First of all, the visor (They say it's somhow improved, but I don't see it).
Perhaps it's better without it. 4). 3). that the that comes with the phone. It was both easier to put on and left no bubbles.
(and here I'm getting really picky) There no longer is a lens protector over the camera lens. But I probably spent $20 for the replacement screen protectors (I needed it NOW), on top of the Revo2 and I'm forever looking for the clear visor, on days that I do need it. 6). does not fit snugly on the back of the case when not in use, because of these rubber ears that they've added to the body of the case. Unlike on the original iPhone, the on/on button on top is difficult to press (I don't know if it's a problem with the case or the iPhone itself) and I have to hit it perfectly with the edge of my fingernail.
If you think you have no bubbles now, don't take it off to clean, because you'll never get it back on, looking the same. If I'm wearing a shirt with a front pocket, I leave it home. Guess what.
Sounds stupid.but it's true. The cover really sticks to hair and it sometimes hurts. I really do like this and think it does a great job protecting my beloved iPhone. However, if you have long hair.as I do, when you pull the phone away from your head after talking it tends to pull your hair also.
This is the third case that I've bought from iSkin, I bought one for my old iPod Video, then one for my iPod Classic (6g) and when I needed to get one from my iPhone there was no doubt that iSkin would deliver.Looks great, really protects my telephone and I already got a couple of customers for their products, this case REALLY protects your phone and the extra plastic VISOR, rocks, very handy when you put your phone in your pocket along with change and keys.A must buy.
Your cover saved my iPhones life. So when i got home, i hoped and prayed that it was still working and it was. So the only thing we were concerned about was the speaker and reciever.
A few weeks after i got the cover, i went to disneyland, and without getting into too much detail, my phone fell in the water on one of their water rides. I hurried and turned it off and dried off the phone, and we were wondering why it was still on. My cousin suggested i buy the iSkin for my iPhone when i was pick a cover, So, i gave up the thought of getting a colorful girlie color and got the iSkin Revo.
Then we realized the cover, had complete coverage of all the plug in areas, so it only really got wet when we took the cover off. I tell everyone.=) It took at least 5 minutes before someone came over to help, I figured it was dead i couldn't do anything about it so i just expected the worse.
When the worker pulled it out of the water, she told me "i don't know if it helps any but your phone is still one." I'm like "what." So she gave it to me, and it sure was on.
Iskins gets an A++++Michael Johns So if you toss your phone in a backpack, purse, pants pocket, this case will protect your screen and phone. This case has all that I wanted in a case, nice feel, looks, damage control, protection. The front clear snap-on panel made the difference for me, it has saved the screen a few times and when its not in use, you can snap it on the back of the case.
